When Climbing A Steep HIll, Focus On Each Step

Nothing like a nice bike ride until you hit a huge hill. Biking uphill can be challenging. The start of the hill isn't so bad, it's when you get to the middle. That's when you hit that moment when you begin to think, "Can I really keep pedaling or will I have to get off my bike and walk?" When it gets tough, don't look at the entire hill, just glance down at the road and take it pedal by pedal, slowly watching the road move under your bike. Before you know it, you will be at the top.

Respect is something that we all learn, or are suppose to learn, as a very young child. We are told to "Respect our elders", "Show our teachers respect and "Respect our parents." But I ask you, does everyone deserve respect? I say the answer is yes. We all are human beings living on this earth trying to figure out this big puzzle of life. Some of us may learn things faster than others, while some of us may take our whole life to figure things out. Just because we are all on different timelines More... Leave Your Bucket Where You Left It

Do you realize that most people carry a bucket full of junk around with them every day? This bucket comes in different sizes and varies from person to person on it’s content. We take this bucket to work with us, we take it to the grocery store, we take it to work, we take it in the shower and we even sleep with it.
When the bucket becomes too heavy, we try to figure out how we can make it lighter. We put it down so we can go for a long walk in the woods or on the beach. We may go get a massage More... Memorial Day

Yoga Sun Salutations and my 10 minute Power Yoga dvd gave me peace and a good attitude for this beautiful breezy Sunday morning at the beach. Upper body weights were also done this morning. I'm trying to speed up the process of gaining better muscle tone in my arms. Yoga does wonderful toning for me, although I am not able to perform some of the poses that would help build more muscles so I add free weights to my routine. I have become more flexible with Yoga, but can't achieve looking like a pretzel More... Find Joy In The Success Of Others

Got myself running today by listening to "Little Feat"! I hadn't listened to them in a long time, so it helped me push on through my miles today. Sometimes listening to an old CD or listening to a new book will help you lose yourself in your exercising. Running felt great today, the birds were singing and it's a nice sunny day on the coast of South Carolina. Legs were actually stronger with running than walking today. After my run, I did some ab work on my yoga ball. I have been also neglecting More... Stop Wishing A Rock Was A Rose

Ever wish anything in your life were different? Ever wish your friends, family or co-workers would act the way you want them to? Well stop that! You are giving time to wishes that are not productive, healthy or realistic. All of us are different people. We think differently, we act differently and we react to things differently. Expecting people to be the way you want them to be is unfair to them and unfair to you. Besides, think about how boring it would be if everyone acted the same.

Our kitchen faucet had been on it's last legs for some time. It had been going from bad to worse. The time for replacement finally became apparent when one night when, while doing dishes, I only had a very light stream of water flowing out. It was time to say goodbye to our beloved faucet. After my husband installed the new one, I found myself enjoying getting a glass of water or washing off plates every chance I got. My boys soon tired of me saying, "Kids, do you want another glass of water?" More...
